What do customers like about Betsold Auction?

Betsold has undertaken usability and focus groups with target users of the auction. This included those who bet once or twice a month to those who bet more than once a week.

Value: The potential to purchase a bid at better odds than the market is offering is a key feature of the platform and the main hook highlighted by consumers. This is also a driving factor when it comes to potentially auctioning a bet they already hold.
Functionality: The auction adds a new ‘dynamic’ to the betting landscape. Customers saw its potential to add excitement and competition (between customers). It also provides another way to feel like you are winning (similar to the excitement of more traditional online auctions . You can follow what’s been sold and bids being made. It’s quite exciting… It’s the excitement I suppose. It’s flipping betting on its head a wee bit.

The whole getting a better price is a big thing for me, definitely. You are not really winning anything (if you win the auction) but I would kind of feel like I was.

It has been almost 20 years since Betfair launched. The Betsold Betting Auction is the biggest thing to hit the market since then.

Some of the bookies (cashout) prices are loco. I think this is certainly interesting. It is more like a free market. What is it called on eBay when you get right in at the last minute and buy something… Sniping! That is a buzz and a half.

I can’t believe no-one has done this before.
